Privacy Policy

What information GrindMinded collects, how it's used, and the site's commitments to reader privacy.

Filed July 2, 2026

This page explains what information GrindMinded collects, what it does with that information, and what it doesn’t do. It’s written in plain language on purpose.

Information GrindMinded collects

Information you give directly. If you contact the site via the contact form or email address on the contact page, the site receives whatever you choose to send — your name if you include it, your email address, the content of your message. The site uses this only to respond to you.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the hosting platform (Cloudflare) and any analytics tools the site uses may collect basic technical information: which pages you visited, what browser and device you used, your general geographic region (typically country or city-level, derived from your IP address), and the referring page. This is standard web infrastructure data.

Cookies. The site may set cookies for analytics and for the affiliate programs to function. Affiliate cookies are how the programs know a purchase came from this site. The site does not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking.

What GrindMinded does with this information

The site uses the information it collects to:

  • Understand which articles and products are getting read, so it can write more of what readers find useful
  • Diagnose technical problems and improve the site
  • Respond to direct messages
  • Track affiliate referrals so commissions are correctly attributed

The site does not sell, rent, or share reader data with third parties beyond the standard services required to run a website (hosting, analytics, affiliate programs).

Affiliate program data

When you click an affiliate link, the destination retailer may set its own cookies and collect its own data under its own privacy policy. The site doesn’t control retailer-side data collection. Common retailers the site links to include Amazon, 1st-in-Coffee, Pro Coffee Gear, and Seattle Coffee Gear. Their policies apply once you reach their site.

Analytics

The site may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Cloudflare’s built-in analytics or a self-hosted alternative) to understand traffic. If the site ever uses third-party analytics that track individual users, that will be disclosed here and the analytics provider will be identified.

Your choices

  • Cookies. You can clear cookies or block them in your browser. Blocking cookies may break affiliate link tracking, which means the site won’t earn a commission if you buy — but the site will still work and you’ll still pay the same price.
  • Email. If you’ve contacted the site and want your message and any reply deleted, request it and it will be.
  • Do Not Track. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, the site respects that for any analytics it controls.

Children’s privacy

The site is not directed at children under 13, and the site does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If the site makes a material change to this policy, the change will be noted at the top of this page with an updated date. The current version was last updated on the date at the top of this article.
